Summary of the Police Allegations against Natalie

A police officer reported watching a man enter the driver’s side of a car parked across from a loud party in Kemptville.

The man who had entered the driver’s side of the vehicle subsequently left the vehicle. Afterwards, the vehicle began to drive. The police officer then stopped the vehicle, spoke to the driver of the car, Natalie, and detected a strong odour of an alcoholic beverage coming from her.

At 2:45 am, the officer demanded that Natalie take a roadside breath test. Natalie failed the test, was read her right to counsel and told the officer that she wanted to speak with a lawyer.

After failing the breath test, Natalie was brought to a police detachment in Kemptville and put in touch with Duty Counsel. At the police station, Natalie took and failed a second breath test taken with an intoxilyzer machine.

Natalie was charged with over 80 and released to her parents that morning.
